The brief
Attorneys picking a construction expert witness are betting a case on the choice — Paul Gaston's hero copy says exactly that — so the whole site is aimed at letting a Chicago lawyer verify his 30+ years across commercial and residential construction quickly.

Strategy & Wireframing
I structured the qualifications the way counsel actually vets them: Licenses & Certifications first, down to the current City of Chicago General Contractors license number, then Role, Sector, and Project Type experience as three checkmark columns, then a four-step How It Works running from free consultation to retainer.

Design & Branding
Navy and cream under a hero of scaffold silhouettes against the sky; the only portrait on the page is Paul himself in the "Meet Expert Witness Paul Gaston" section, so it reads like a credential file rather than an agency site.

Development & Integration
I built separate service pages for construction, renovation, and engineering expert witness work, the certification grid covering training from aerial lift and OSHA through firestopping and scaffolds, and free-consultation CTAs repeated at every section break.

Responsive & Speed
The checklists are the site's core, so on mobile their multi-column grids collapse into one continuous checkmark list that scrolls in reading order instead of cropping or truncating.

Launch & Delivery
expertwitnesschicago.com went live with the license number published, the four-step engagement path — consultation, service agreement, retainer payment, engagement — spelled out, and an accessibility toolbar available on every page.
