Long Island Light Decor
From brief to launch.
The end-to-end process behind Long Island Light Decor — strategy, design, clean WordPress development, performance, and a smooth handover.

01
The brief
A family-run installer that has hung Christmas lights across Nassau and Suffolk since 2018, Long Island Light Decor wanted one thing from the site: quote requests. The hero says it plainly — "Professional Christmas Light Installation Across Long Island. Professional Installation. Zero Hassle."
-
02
Strategy & Wireframing
I put the "Request Your Free Quote - Quick & Easy" form directly beneath the hero, ahead of any service copy, and split the FAQ into separate homeowner and business tabs so each audience reads only its own answers.
-
03
Design & Branding
The whole site runs on a red-and-green holiday palette, and the "Stunning Holiday Displays Across Long Island" gallery sits on a near-black background so the night shots of lit rooflines actually glow.
-
04
Development & Integration
I built the four service cards — Roofline Lighting, Pathway Lighting, Tree Wrapping Lights, Specialty Greenery — a trust row featuring the Grinch-Proof Guarantee and "Never Climb a Ladder Again," a detailed quote form with budget tier, photo upload and a text-consent checkbox, and a downloadable free catalog.
-
05
Responsive & Speed
On mobile the quote form still sits immediately under the hero headline, so a homeowner can send name, address and budget without scrolling past a single section.
-
06
Launch & Delivery
The site went live with both quote forms taking submissions, all four installation services published, the catalog download working and a service-area map covering Nassau and Suffolk County towns.
