From brief to launch.
The end-to-end process behind Winkler Fence & Deck — strategy, design, clean WordPress development, performance, and a smooth handover.

01
The brief
Winkler Fence & Deck has shaped Maryland backyards for 35-plus years, and the job I took was making family-owned read as an advantage — the first section literally argues Unlike larger companies.
-
02
Strategy & Wireframing
I split the work into six structure types — custom decks, aluminum, wood, and vinyl fencing, arbors and pergolas, and sunrooms — each with its own card and detail page, then compressed hiring into four steps from request meeting to work completed.
-
03
Design & Branding
I framed real project photos — the estate deck, the poolside white vinyl run — in cream and charcoal with a gold starburst motif, and gave the Top Rated Local award badge its own navy band.
-
04
Development & Integration
I built the six service pages, the inspiration gallery, a materials strip naming TimberTech, Azek, Fiberon, and Trex, and put the MHIC and PA HIC license numbers in the credentials column where skeptical homeowners look.
-
05
Responsive & Speed
I held the gallery to a strict grid on mobile so fence lines stay straight in the crops, and kept the free-estimates button riding the header at every size.
-
06
Launch & Delivery
I finished the build with four customer reviews, a maintenance newsletter signup, the White Hall address and Monday-to-Saturday hours, and the free-estimate offer placed in three spots.
